As of April 15th 2011, Douglas Jones, owner of East Kentucky Rental & Supply, changed the name of his company to "Rental Pro".  The most frequently asked question about the company's change of name is, why?  Why after nearly 20 years of continuous service to the people and construction industry of East Kentucky would someone change the name of a successful company?  The answer is simple: We are Proud to be Pros:

• We are proud to provide the people and companies of Kentucky and Western Virginia with safe, reliable, late model construction equipment for either short or long-term rentals.

• We are proud to provide that same well maintained, used equipment for sale.

• We are proud to provide maintenance service for your equipment.

• We are proud to offer one stop shopping for the supplies needed to complete your project.

• But most of all we are proud of our people. We feel we have a friendly, courteous, well trained crew that any organization would be blessed to be associated with. We try to provide our customers with efficient, honest and sincere service, and we want to hear from you if we don't.

History

Rental Pro (previously known as East Kentucky Rental & Supply) was started in 1992 by Douglas Jones. In its beginnings, Rental Pro had only one store in Hazard KY and a very limited equipment rental inventory; there were only two employees, including the company's founder.

Over the years, Rental Pro has grown its equipment rental and tool rental business in Kentucky by providing excellent service and reinvesting its capital to build a four-store operation with an inventory in excess of 5 million dollars. Now, in addition to its founding store in Hazard KY, the company also has a well stocked branch in London KY that opened in 2003, a branch in Pikeville KY, opened in Summer of 2012 (since closed), and finally our newest store in Berea KY.

We currently work a 50 mile radius from each equipment rental store and take pride in on our well trained, courteous employees.
